Are You a Political Moron?

A person's status as a political moron has nothing to do with their political beliefs or intellect. Instead, it has everything to do with whether one can define their beliefs, can competently articulate why they are believed, and has adopted a voting regiment that advances those beliefs. A political moron is unable to do this. 

 

Discovering that you are a political moron is a good thing as it marks the beginning of a new life of independent political thought. Begin that new life today! 

True   False: You have a wide spectrum of cable news stations and/or social media platforms as your primary source of news?
True   False: Increasingly your political party frustrates you because at times they seem to be working more against you than for you?
True   False: In the interest of having healthy friendships, you seek friends that share similar political views?
True   False: While you would like to listen to programs that support opposing views, misinformation makes it too frustrating to do so?
True   False: You trust the political pundits and/or elected officials belonging to your political party to provide unbiased information?
True   False: If someone has views you deem harmful or even dangerous, supporting their right to speak is never in question?
True   False: At times you yell when speaking with someone with opposing views because they seem to not understand or even care?
True   False: You believe your political party falls short of living up to their publicly stated platform?
True   False: While you support diversity of thought, there are views you deem so damaging that tolerance should rightfully be withheld?
True   False: Having done considerable research, you stand your ground when faced with salient points that challenge settled views?

If you are a political moron or close to it, then discussing politics with you is analogous to diffusing a bomb; dangerous and unpredictable. You are not in control of your political mind, rely too much on feelings, are intolerant to political opposition, and prone to outbursts of anger and/or violence toward those you disagree with. End this self-inflicted lunacy and rejoin the rational world.
